DR. HOLLANDER
Dentist
After graduating from Baylor University with a BA in Biology, Dr. Hollander received his DDS degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. He has since accrued hundreds of hours of continuing education in all aspects of cosmetic and general dentistry.
Following Dental School, Dr. Hollander moved to Kathmandu, Nepal, where his uncle was a dentist. While in Nepal, he worked at the American Embassy Dental Clinic and volunteered his time weekly at the Sechen Buddhist Monastery. His volunteer work continues to this day with annual commitments to the Texas Mission of Mercy and the THEO Dental Van. He has also been on volunteer dental missions to Honduras and Mexico.
Dr. Hollander has been very active in the Capital Area Dental Society. His duties have included New Dentist Committee Chairman, Membership Chairman, Peer Review Committee, Treasurer, Secretary, President-Elect and President. For 9 years, Dr. Hollander participated in the judicial committee for the Capital Area Dental Society. He is currently a delegate for the Texas Dental Association.
Capital Area Dental Society awarded Dr. Hollander the New Dentist of the Year award in 2006. He was also honored in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 with awards for outstanding leadership and service. He was voted 2010-2011 Dentist of the Year by his peers at the Capital Area Dental Society. He was also a nominee for 2011 Texas Dentist of the Year by the Texas Academy of General Dentistry. In 2021, Dr. Hollander was nominated by the University of Texas School of Dentistry for the distinguished alumnus of the year award.
With two active boys and his wife Shelley's work as a wildlife rehabilitator, there is never a dull moment in their household.
KIM
Office Manager
Originally from Canada, Kim moved to Austin in 2000 to attend the University of Texas. Her passion for dentistry started in high school when she worked part-time for a dental office. She started with our office in 2004 and became office manager in 2011. Kim enjoys traveling the world, visiting with her family and friends, and watching just about every sport you can name. Kim married Eddy in November of 2014. They welcomed their son, Evan, to their family in 2016 and their daughter, Katie, in 2021.
SHANNON
Financial Coordinator
With an extensive background in veterinary services, Shannon brings her years of customer service expertise to our office. Her family settled in Austin when she was 6. She loves outdoor activities with her family and also really enjoys spending time with friends. Shannon and her husband, Jeff, have two beautiful daughters, Hayden and Harper. Their house is made complete with their puppies Lucy, Kelly and Waylon along with their cat Willy.
KATHI
Hygienist
With 40 years of dental experience, Kathi has been a hygienist with us for over 20 years. We benefit from her constant positive attitude and extensive knowledge of all areas of dentistry. Kathi attended Stephen F. Austin University and achieved her dental hygiene certification from the University of Texas Hygiene School. She knew that dentistry was in her future after realizing what an impact she could have on others through the dental hygiene profession following positive dental experiences as a child. Kathi enjoys spending her time outside of work with her husband, Dan, her four sons, two daughters-in-law, and her extended family. Kathi is so proud to now be a grandma of two boys, Dane and Nolan, and two granddaughters, Ella and Victoria. She is very active in Bible Study and is passionate about exercise and cooking.
BRITTANY
Hygienist
Colorado’s loss is our gain. Brittany moved to Austin for an adventure and loves it. She’s been in hygiene for ten years after completing her dental hygiene program at Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely, Colorado. Her determination to maintain our high standard of dental care through patient education and patient comfort are part of why she fits in so well with us. She is passionate about fitness, and enjoys rollerblading and being outdoors.
CHRISTINA
Dental Assistant
Hailing from El Paso, Christina was excited to move to Austin in 2016 to experience all it has to offer. She joined our team in early 2017 with experience in all aspects of dental assisting after obtaining her RDA in 2010. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves being outdoors. She’s earned the nickname “Smiles” as all of her patients love that aspect of her outgoing personality. Christina shares three children, Bella, Karmela, and Brenham with her husband Kevin.
BRITTANY
Dental Assistant
Locally raised, Brittany came to us with over 10 years experience including being a dental assisting instructor for 2 years. With such a considerable background in dentistry, we have enjoyed Brittany sharing her knowledge with us and with our patients. Her two boys, Caden and Colton, keep her very busy outside of work along with her horse.
